Two Arrested After Fatal Stabbing in Oswego; 41-Year-Old Kevin Fatcheric Identified as Victim

OSWEGO, NY — A violent early morning stabbing has left one man dead and two people facing serious felony charges in Oswego. The incident claimed the life of 41-year-old Kevin Fatcheric, and led to the arrest of 24-year-old Scott Sullivan of Fulton and 44-year-old Rebecca Manchester of Oswego.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, officers from the Oswego Police Department were dispatched to a residence located at 71 W. Albany Street following a report of a stabbing. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a man suffering from a stab wound to the chest.

The victim has been identified as Kevin Fatcheric of Oswego. Emergency medical personnel quickly transported Mr. Fatcheric to receive urgent treatment; however, despite extensive life-saving measures, he tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at Upstate Hospital.

Following the discovery, Oswego Police immediately launched an intensive on-scene investigation. Through coordinated efforts and swift action, detectives were able to identify and apprehend two suspects connected to the deadly assault — Scott Sullivan and Rebecca Manchester.

After gathering evidence and conducting interviews, authorities formally charged both suspects with multiple serious offenses:

Charges Against Scott Sullivan

  • Murder in the 2nd Degree (A-I Felony)
  • Assault in the 1st Degree (B Felony)
  • Two Counts of Robbery in the 1st Degree (B Felony)

Charges Against Rebecca Manchester

  • Two Counts of Murder in the 2nd Degree (A-I Felony)
  • Two Counts of Assault in the 1st Degree (B Felony)
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree (D Felony)
  • Two Counts of Robbery in the 1st Degree (B Felony)

Both Sullivan and Manchester were processed at the Oswego Police Department and subsequently arraigned in Oswego County CAP Court.

The Oswego Police Department expressed gratitude for the assistance of multiple agencies that supported the investigation, including the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, Menter Ambulance, and the Oswego Fire Department.

The tragic death of Kevin Fatcheric has sent shockwaves through the Oswego community, leaving family, friends, and neighbors heartbroken as they come to terms with the senseless act of violence that claimed his life.
