TRAFFIC-STOP RUNNER IDENTIFIED: WHERE IS HE?

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Jerome Anthony Davis, who is now wanted on multiple felony charges following a dangerous incident that unfolded during a traffic stop earlier this week.

According to investigators, the incident occurred on Wednesday along Deans Bridge Road near Magnolia Lane, when deputies attempted to pull over a vehicle for a routine traffic stop. The driver, later identified as Jerome Anthony Davis, failed to comply and instead fled the scene, sparking an active pursuit.

Davis, described as 6’2” tall and weighing approximately 202 pounds, is currently wanted for felony fleeing or attempting to elude, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and failure to signal. Investigators say Davis abandoned his vehicle during the incident and escaped on foot, prompting an extensive manhunt in the surrounding area.

Despite coordinated search efforts, Davis remains at large. Law enforcement officials believe that someone may know his whereabouts, and they are urging the public to come forward with any information that could assist in locating him.

Authorities are emphasizing that Davis should not be approached if seen. Instead, anyone with information is urged to contact Investigator Britney Jones at 706-821-4850 or reach out to any On-Duty Violent Crimes Investigator at 706-821-1020 or 706-821-1080.

Citizens are also reminded that those who knowingly assist or harbor wanted individuals may face criminal charges. Police encourage Davis to surrender peacefully and resolve the matter through lawful means.

Community members have expressed growing concern following the incident, which disrupted traffic and drew a large law enforcement response in the Deans Bridge Road area. Residents are being thanked for their patience, cooperation, and continued vigilance as the search continues.
