SHOOTING SUSPECT WANTED: PASCO COUNTY DEPUTIES SEARCH FOR ANDERSON BLAINE JR., ALSO KNOWN AS “WORM,” IN CONNECTION WITH LACOOCHEE SHOOTING

LACOOCHEE, FLORIDA — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is urgently searching for 30-year-old Anderson Blaine Jr., also known by the nickname “Worm,” in connection with a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning, October 19, around 6:40 a.m. in the Blanchette Court area of Lacoochee.

According to investigators, deputies responded to reports of gunfire and found one victim suffering from serious injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and while their current condition has not been released, officials say the injuries were significant.

Following an intensive investigation, Anderson Blaine Jr. was identified as the primary suspect. Detectives obtained warrants for his arrest, charging him with attempted murder, aggravated battery, and felon in possession of a firearm.

Authorities say Blaine fled the scene before deputies arrived and is believed to still be in the area or possibly hiding elsewhere in Pasco County or surrounding regions. He is considered armed and dangerous, and residents are strongly urged not to approach him under any circumstances.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is calling on the public for assistance in locating Blaine.

“We need the community’s help to bring this dangerous individual into custody safely,” officials stated. “If you know where Anderson Blaine Jr. is, or have seen him, please contact us immediately.”

Community members have expressed concern as deputies continue their search, with many residents of Lacoochee describing the situation as unsettling but praising law enforcement for their swift response.
