CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — The Chesterfield County Police Department continues to actively search for 19-year-old Latrell Creighton, who has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Omarion Bryant of Dinwiddie. Two additional arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation: Jalen Johnson, of Prince George County, who has been charged with accessory after the fact of homicide, and Cordarious Berry, 39, of Hopewell—Creighton’s father—who faces multiple felony charges. The homicide occurred on October 4, 2025, in the 20900 block of Third Avenue in Chesterfield County.
According to police, officers were dispatched at approximately 11:02 p.m. on October 4 following a report of an assault involving a deadly weapon. When they arrived, officers discovered Omarion Bryant suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency responders, Bryant was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the days following the shooting, police arrested Jalen Johnson on October 6 and charged him with accessory after the fact of homicide. Johnson remains in custody without bond at the Chesterfield County Jail.
Authorities have also issued a warrant for second-degree murder for Latrell Creighton, who remains at large. Creighton is described as a Black male, standing approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing around 165 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a distinctive tattoo across the front of his neck. Police warn that Creighton should be considered armed and dangerous and urge anyone who encounters him to call 911 immediately rather than approach him.
During the investigation, police also arrested Cordarious Berry, 39, of Hopewell, on unrelated charges. Berry faces counts of possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance and possession of ammunition by a felon. He is currently being held at Riverside Regional Jail on a probation violation.
Investigators believe that Creighton may have fled Virginia and could be receiving help from relatives in Jackson, Tennessee, who they suspect are aiding him in avoiding arrest. The Chesterfield County Police Department is working with law enforcement partners in Tennessee to locate and apprehend him.
Authorities are urging residents of Chesterfield County and Jackson, Tennessee to report any information regarding Creighton’s whereabouts.
