MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A violent shooting late Sunday night has left one person critically injured in North Minneapolis, and police have identified the victim as Ladre Frmdaapp.

According to preliminary reports, Minneapolis Police were dispatched around 10:50 p.m. to the 2900 block of Russell Avenue North after multiple 911 calls reported gunfire and a possible shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they located a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

Officers immediately began lifesaving measures while awaiting paramedics. The victim, later identified as Ladre Frmdaapp, was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital in critical condition. His current status has not been publicly released.

Investigation Underway

Police have not released details about a possible suspect or motive at this time. Detectives with the Minneapolis Police Department’s Homicide Unit and Crime Lab responded to the scene to collect evidence, document the area, and canvass for witnesses.

Officers were seen marking shell casings near the intersection and reviewing nearby security camera footage from residences and street cameras in an effort to identify any suspects or vehicles that may have fled the scene.

Residents in the area reported hearing multiple gunshots followed by the sound of a car speeding away. Investigators are working to determine whether the shooting was targeted or random.

As of this morning, no arrests have been announced, and police say this remains an active and ongoing investigation.
