In Loving Memory: Remembering Reid W. Marker

The community is heartbroken after a tragic motor vehicle accident in the Town of Orleans claimed the life of 20-year-old Reid W. Marker on October 26, 2025. At approximately 12:54 p.m., State Police were dispatched to Middle Road following reports of a serious crash involving two young individuals.

According to the preliminary investigation, a 2005 Honda Accord was traveling south on Middle Road when the driver, 18-year-old Isabella M. Keeton of La Fargeville, NY, lost control of the vehicle. The car is believed to have left its lane, veered off the roadway, and struck a tree along the west shoulder.

Tragically, Reid W. Marker, of Virginia, who was riding as a passenger in the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Reid’s sudden passing has sent waves of grief throughout the community, affecting family, friends, and all who knew him. He was just 20 years old—a life full of promise and future ahead of him.

The driver, Isabella Keeton, was not injured in the crash. A Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) evaluated Keeton at the scene, and investigators reported that there were no signs of impairment. At this time, the crash appears to be a tragic accident, and the investigation remains ongoing as State Police continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Reid will be remembered for the warmth he brought into the lives of others, his kind nature, and the deep connections he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. The loss of a young life is always difficult to comprehend, and the pain of this tragedy is felt deeply across the Orleans community and beyond.

Family, friends, and community members are encouraged to lift one another up in love and support as they navigate this time of mourning. Funeral arrangements and memorial details will be shared by the family when they are prepared to do so.

May Reid’s memory remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

Gone too soon, but never forgotten.
