On October 14, 2025, before 5:30 p.m., a tragic and fatal incident unfolded inside a home on the 2400 block of North Colorado Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, involving 16-year-old Londyn Major, who was shot and later pronounced dead, and 18-year-old Anas Bey, who was taken into custody in connection with the shooting.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, officers arrived at the home to find Londyn Major semiconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. She was immediately transported to Temple University Hospital, where, despite the efforts of medical staff, she was pronounced dead at 6:46 p.m.
Investigators confirmed that Londyn did not reside at the home but frequently visited family and friends at the property. Police determined that she was shot inside a rear bedroom on the second floor, where officers recovered a spent shell casing, a loaded magazine, and blood evidence. Two semiautomatic handguns were also recovered from the home.
At the time of the shooting, Anas Bey was inside the room with Londyn. While authorities initially considered the possibility that the shooting may have been accidental, Bey was subsequently arrested and charged with third-degree murder, possessing an instrument of crime, involuntary manslaughter, and recklessly endangering another person.
Police reported that there were approximately 10 people inside the home, including children under the age of five, at the time of the incident. Investigators conducted interviews with multiple witnesses and reviewed surveillance footage as part of their ongoing investigation.
