The Las Vegas community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Daish Sherre, a beloved woman whose life was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence early Friday morning. What began as a frightening chase in the southwest Las Vegas Valley ended in unimaginable tragedy, leaving Daish dead and another man injured after gunfire led to a devastating crash.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), dispatchers received a call just after midnight from a man frantically reporting that he and another person were being chased and shot at by another vehicle near Lindell Road and Robindale Road. Moments later, the chaos reached its deadly conclusion.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a nightmarish sight — two vehicles had collided, and a woman lay in the street after being violently ejected from one of the cars. Despite the best efforts of first responders, Daish Sherre was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nearby, officers found a man suffering from crash-related injuries. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, where he is expected to survive. Investigators say the two had been driving home when they noticed another vehicle tailing them closely. Suddenly, shots rang out from the pursuing car, prompting Daish and her passenger to accelerate in fear. In their desperate attempt to escape, the driver lost control, causing their vehicle to crash and eject both occupants.
Police confirmed that the suspect vehicle also crashed into theirs but that the occupants fled the scene on foot before officers arrived. Detectives are now working around the clock to locate those responsible, combing through surveillance footage and collecting evidence from the scene.
Authorities have not yet determined the motive for the shooting, but they believe it was a targeted attack. The LVMPD Homicide Section continues to investigate, urging anyone with information to come forward.
Witnesses described hearing the terrifying sounds of gunfire followed by a violent crash that echoed through the quiet neighborhood. “It was chaos — we heard shots, then metal screeching and a huge boom,” said one nearby resident. “It’s heartbreaking to think that someone’s daughter, someone’s friend, lost her life like that.”
Now, as police continue their search for justice, the community is coming together to honor Daish Sherre’s memory. Friends and family describe her as a vibrant, loving soul — someone who brought light and laughter wherever she went. She was the kind of person who loved deeply, smiled easily, and made everyone feel seen.
Those who knew her say Daish had a heart full of compassion and positivity, even in tough times. “She was the type of person who would give you her last dollar, just to make sure you were okay,” one loved one shared. “There’s a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.”
As candles are lit and tributes pour in online, many are using this tragedy to call for an end to the violence that continues to claim innocent lives.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department asks that anyone with information about the suspects or their vehicle contact LVMPD Homicide or Crime Stoppers anonymously at (702) 385-5555.
While the investigation continues, one thing is certain — Daish Sherre’s life mattered. She will be remembered not for how she died, but for how she lived — with kindness, love, and an unbreakable spirit.
Rest in peace, Daish Sherre
Gone too soon, but never forgotten.
