FOLEY, AL — October 15, 2025 — Heartbreak and concern have gripped the Foley community after a young man, 20-year-old Amiid Dujari Houston, was critically injured in a shooting Sunday evening on Azalea Avenue.
According to Lt. Tony Fuqua of the Foley Police Department, officers responded to the scene after reports of gunfire and found Houston suffering from serious injuries. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition as of Wednesday morning.
In a major update, investigators have identified two people of interest in connection with the case. Both individuals are currently in custody in Jacksonville, Florida, after being detained by local authorities. Detectives from Foley have since traveled to Jacksonville to interview the suspects and gather additional evidence.
A vehicle believed to be connected to the shooting has also been seized by the Jacksonville Police Department, marking a key development in the ongoing investigation.
At this time, officials have not released the names of the detained individuals or details regarding a possible motive. Lt. Fuqua assured the public that investigators are working tirelessly to uncover the full truth, emphasizing that all information released will be verified and accurate.
