In Loving Memory of Wendy Kobyluck

In Loving Memory of Wendy Kobyluck

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we honor and remember the life of Wendy Kobyluck, age 56, of Orrville, whose earthly journey came to a sudden and heartbreaking end early Saturday morning in Lorain County. The tragic two-vehicle collision took place around 6:40 a.m. near Foster Road in Penfield Township. First responders and medical personnel rushed to the scene following reports of a serious crash, but despite their efforts, Wendy was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado traveling on Foster Road reportedly failed to yield at a stop sign, entering the path of Wendy’s Honda HR-V as she drove along State Route 18. The 59-year-old male driver of the truck was seriously injured and airlifted to MetroHealth Medical Center. Wendy, who was properly wearing her seatbelt, did not survive the violent impact. It is a loss that has shaken her family, friends, and all who knew her.

But Wendy’s life is not defined by the circumstances of this tragedy. Her story is not one simply of how she left this world, but of how she lived in it.

Wendy was a woman whose presence held warmth, light, and steadiness. She was someone who showed up — for her family, her friends, her work, and her community. Her kindness was not loud, but it was strong. It was seen in her patience, her gentle words, the time she gave freely, and her ability to care without condition. She made others feel valued simply by treating everyone with respect and compassion.

Those who knew her will remember her laughter — the soft kind that comes from genuine joy — and the peaceful spirit she carried with her. She had routines that grounded her days, responsibilities she took pride in, and relationships that shaped her world. She was someone who could be counted on. Someone who listened. Someone whose absence now leaves a noticeable and aching quiet.

Losing someone so suddenly brings a unique kind of pain. There was no chance to prepare, no gradual transition, only a moment of life unchanged — and the next, forever altered. In that divide, grief forms, deep and heavy, but so too does remembrance. Memories become precious — the shared stories, the familiar jokes, the conversations that once felt ordinary now become sacred.

Her loved ones will carry her voice in their hearts. They will remember her smile, her strength, and the way she made everyday life a little gentler just by being part of it. Though the world may move forward, the imprint she leaves does not fade.

As investigators continue their work, one truth remains unwavering: Wendy mattered. She was loved. And she will be missed beyond measure.

To her family, friends, co-workers, and everyone who now mourns her — may you find peace in the memories you shared, comfort in one another, and strength in the love she leaves behind. May her presence continue to live in stories spoken, traditions continued, and hearts forever touched by her life.

In loving memory of Wendy Kobyluck —

A beautiful life gone too soon, a spirit that remains, and a name that will continue to be spoken with love.
