FOREST CITY, NC — With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, the Forest City community joins family and friends in mourning the tragic loss of 25-year-old Tyler D. Weaver, who passed away on Friday morning, October 24, 2025, following a home invasion at his residence on Harris Lee Drive. Tyler’s life, full of promise, purpose, and love, was taken far too soon in a heartbreaking act of violence.

At approximately 9:50 a.m., officers with the Forest City Police Department responded to the home and discovered Tyler inside, gravely injured. Despite every effort by responding law enforcement and Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services, Tyler had already departed this life. His passing has sent waves of grief throughout his family and the community that knew and cared for him.

Those who knew Tyler describe him as someone with a kind heart and a gentle spirit — a young man who valued family, friendship, and the simple joys of everyday life.
