In Loving Memory of Ramon Galbon

The community of Pineville is mourning the tragic loss of 40-year-old Ramon Galbon, who lost his life in a devastating two-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 107 near Craig Path Road on the evening of Saturday, October 18, 2025. The crash occurred at approximately 7:20 p.m., leaving one person injured and sending shockwaves of grief through family, friends, and all who knew Ramon.

According to the Louisiana State Police Troop E, the preliminary investigation revealed that Ramon was driving his 2009 Ford F-150 southbound on LA 107 when, for reasons still under investigation, his vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado traveling north. Despite the immediate and heroic efforts of emergency personnel at the scene, Ramon tragically succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the other vehicle sustained injuries and was transported for medical care.

In the wake of this heartbreaking accident, troopers continue to remind all motorists of the importance of safe and responsible driving — emphasizing that every choice behind the wheel matters. Drivers are urged to avoid distractions, never drive impaired or fatigued, and always wear seat belts. While not every crash can be survived, proper restraint use often makes the difference between life and death.

Ramon Galbon’s passing has left an unfillable void in the lives of those who loved him. Known for his warm heart, hard work, and loyalty to those closest to him, Ramon was a man whose presence brought comfort and laughter to everyone around him. Whether spending time with family, helping a neighbor, or simply sharing a smile, he was the kind of person who made others feel valued. His loss is not just one family’s sorrow but a heartbreak that touches an entire community.

Friends and loved ones describe Ramon as a devoted family man, a true friend, and a gentle soul. He was proud of his roots in Pineville and carried himself with humility, kindness, and quiet strength. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to share in his life’s journey.

In this time of mourning, we extend our deepest condolences to the Galbon family and all who are grieving this tremendous loss. May they find strength in the love and support of their community and comfort in knowing that Ramon’s life — though cut short — was one filled with meaning, connection, and love.

We also lift up prayers for the recovery of the injured driver and express deep gratitude to the Louisiana State Police, the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, and all first responders and emergency personnel who acted swiftly and compassionately at the scene. Their dedication to service and professionalism in the face of tragedy make a lasting difference for families in their darkest hours.

As we remember Ramon Galbon, let us honor his memory by living each day with care, gratitude, and mindfulness — cherishing every moment with the people who matter most.

May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his family be surrounded by the light of love, comfort, and faith in the days ahead.

Gone too soon, but never forgotten. Rest peacefully, Ramon.
