The impact was severe, leaving Veney fatally injured. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle, identified only as a woman, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she remains under medical care as of Monday. Authorities have not yet released updates regarding her condition.
