In Loving Memory of Marley Galvan — McHenry County Teen Tragically Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash

MCHENRY ,COUNTY, Ill. — October 15, 2025 — The McHenry County community is mourning the loss of 19-year-old Marley Galvan of Janesville, Wisconsin, who tragically died in a single-vehicle crash on Monday in Marengo.

According to the McHenry County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred at 22820 River Road, where Marley’s vehicle veered off the roadway to the north after misjudging a curve, ultimately colliding with a post and a tree. Emergency responders from the Marengo Police Department and the Marengo Fire District arrived at the scene to assist.

Marley was pronounced deceased at the scene. She had one passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash, who was transported to Javon Bea Hospital in critical condition. Updates regarding the passenger’s condition have not yet been released.

At this time, there are no initial findings from the autopsy, and toxicology reports are still pending. The McHenry County Coroner’s Office is working closely with the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and the Marengo Fire District as the investigation continues.

Friends and family remember Marley as a bright and vibrant young woman, whose life was tragically cut short far too soon. The loss has left her loved ones and the local community in deep mourning, struggling to come to terms with the sudden and unexpected tragedy.
