In Loving Memory of Jerean Rogers – Fatal Crash Under Investigation in King William County

King William, Virginia (October 28, 2025) – The Virginia State Police are investigating a tragic fatal crash that claimed the life of 26-year-old Jerean Rogers early Tuesday morning in King William County.

According to preliminary reports, the crash occurred at approximately 6:29 a.m. in the 1300 block of King William Road (Route 30). Investigators say a Honda Civic, driven by Rogers, was traveling northbound when it crossed the centerline for reasons still under investigation and collided head-on with a Hyundai Tucson traveling in the opposite direction.

Upon impact, the force of the collision caused extensive damage to both vehicles. Rogers, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from the vehicle. Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Hyundai Tucson sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their current condition has not been released.

Virginia State Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash, including what may have caused the Civic to veer across the centerline. Weather conditions, speed, and potential distractions are all being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.

The roadway was temporarily closed Tuesday morning as law enforcement conducted an on-scene reconstruction and cleared debris from the area.

Friends, family, and members of the King William community are mourning the loss of Jerean Rogers, remembering him as a young man whose life ended far too soon. His passing serves as a somber reminder of the importance of roadway safety and seatbelt use.

As the investigation continues, authorities urge all drivers to remain alert, wear seatbelts, and exercise caution, especially during early morning commutes when visibility can be limited.

The crash remains under investigation by the Virginia State Police.
