We are deeply saddened to share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Dyson James, a cherished member of the Big Mike’s family. Dyson was more than just a valued employee — he was the heartbeat of our team, someone whose presence brought warmth, humor, and positivity to everyone around him. His passing leaves a tremendous void in our hearts and in the walls of Big Mike’s, where his laughter and dedication made every day a little brighter.
From the moment Dyson joined our family, his work ethic and genuine care for others shone through. He approached every shift with a smile, a can-do attitude, and an eagerness to lend a helping hand to coworkers and customers alike. His teammates often described him as the kind of person who could turn a stressful day into a good one — always ready with a joke, a word of encouragement, or a friendly gesture that reminded everyone what true teamwork looks like.
Beyond the workplace, Dyson was a friend to many and a bright light in our community. He treated everyone with respect and kindness, embodying the spirit of hospitality and humanity that Big Mike’s strives to represent. His energy, laughter, and big heart made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
To honor Dyson’s memory and to give our team the opportunity to come together and pay their respects, Big Mike’s will be closed on Friday, October 24th, allowing our staff to attend his funeral and celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to us all. We hope our guests and community will understand and join us in keeping Dyson’s loved ones in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
As we grieve this profound loss, we also celebrate the beautiful legacy Dyson leaves behind — one of kindness, hard work, and genuine joy.
