It is with profound sadness and deepest sympathy that we share the heartbreaking news that Coach Ping Cao passed away early this morning around 2:00 a.m., after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Over the past days, Coach Cao’s health had declined significantly as he faced this relentless illness—with the same determination and quiet strength that he brought to every practice, every match, every challenge. Despite the unyielding strength he showed, this morning we lost a cherished leader, mentor, and friend.
For Skyline Juniors and the entire volleyball community, today marks the loss of a true legend. Coach Ping Cao was more than an incredible coach—he was an inspiring force, a guiding light, and an unwavering advocate for his players and the sport. His passion for volleyball, commitment to excellence, and care for every athlete under his guidance made him a pillar of strength. Many will remember his patience, wisdom, discipline, and the gentle encouragement he offered, always pushing everyone to strive for their best, yet constantly reminding them of their worth as individuals beyond the court.
Off the court, Coach Cao was an amazing man—kind, compassionate, genuine. He celebrated victories humbly, supported rescues from defeat with grace, and invested himself in the growth and character of his players. He built a community where respect, teamwork, and resilience weren’t just taught—they were lived.
In this difficult hour, our hearts go out to his beloved wife and family. We ask you to join us in lifting them up in prayer and in spirit. May they find comfort, strength, and peace amidst this sorrow. Let us also remember Coach Cao by carrying forward his legacy: nurturing the next generation with kindness and integrity, striving for excellence, and leading with our hearts.
Coach Ping Cao’s impact will continue to ripple through every serve, set, and spike, every life he touched and every player he guided. Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will remain in the halls of Skyline Juniors, in the echoes of cheering crowds, and in the hearts of those he inspired.
Rest in peace, Coach. You gave your best, you lifted so many, and we will carry your torch forward.
