In Loving Memory of Chloe S. Henry (2000–2025)

PLATTSBURGH, NY | October 21, 2025Heartbreak and sorrow have swept across Clinton County as family, friends, and the wider Plattsburgh community mourn the devastating loss of 25-year-old Chloe S. Henry, a young mother whose life was tragically cut short in what authorities believe was an act of domestic violence.

According to the New York State Police, Chloe had been reported missing after she was last seen late Friday night in downtown Plattsburgh. Loved ones took to social media over the weekend, pleading for help in finding her and expressing growing fear as hours turned into days without any word. Their worst fears were confirmed when authorities announced that Chloe was found deceased on Tuesday morning in a wooded area off Ridge Road in the Town of Chazy.

Investigators believe Chloe was shot and killed by her husband, 33-year-old Keith Henry, who was taken into custody Monday evening. Authorities say the evidence indicates the shooting occurred inside a vehicle near Bear Swamp Road and Ausable Point in the Town of Peru. Law enforcement quickly zeroed in on Keith Henry after learning he was the last person to have seen Chloe before her disappearance.

The case prompted a massive search and a coordinated investigation involving the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Forensic Identification Unit, the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office, the Plattsburgh Police Department, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, and Homeland Security Investigations.

The Clinton County Coroner pronounced Chloe deceased and ordered her remains transported to Glens Falls Hospital, where an autopsy will determine her exact cause and manner of death.

For those who knew her, Chloe’s death is an unbearable loss. She was described as a devoted mother, a gentle soul, and a kindhearted friend whose smile could brighten even the darkest day. Those close to her say she lived for her children — her pride and joy — and was working hard to build a better life for them. Her love for her family was unwavering, and her compassion for others knew no bounds.

“Chloe had this light about her,” one friend shared through tears. “She was sweet, humble, and always put others before herself. She didn’t deserve this — no one does.”

As news of her tragic death spread, the community gathered in grief and remembrance, honoring her memory with vigils and heartfelt tributes. Hundreds who once shared posts hoping for her safe return have now come together to celebrate her life and to demand justice for the young woman taken far too soon.

The pain of Chloe’s passing has also renewed awareness of domestic violence — a tragedy that, as many advocates emphasize, can happen to anyone. Local organizations are urging those in unsafe situations to seek help, offering resources and support to prevent future heartbreak.

Funeral and memorial arrangements for Chloe Henry will be announced in the coming days. Her family has asked for privacy as they navigate this unimaginable loss and care for her young children, who remain surrounded by love and support.

In Loving Memory of Chloe S. Henry — a radiant spirit, a devoted mother, and a beautiful soul whose kindness touched everyone around her. May she rest in eternal peace, and may her loved ones find strength in the outpouring of love from a community united in her memory.
