In Loving Memory of Brandon Thomas & Quantayris Townsend

Tonight, the Macon-Bibb County community is mourning the unimaginable loss of two beloved brothers — 21-year-old Brandon Thomas and 27-year-old Quantayris Townsend — whose lives were tragically cut short in a deadly shooting that claimed three lives.

Brandon and Quantayris were more than brothers by blood — they were best friends, inseparable in life and now forever united in memory. Both were known for their loyalty, humor, and the love they shared with those around them. Friends describe Brandon as a young man full of promise, kindness, and a heart that always sought to lift others up. Quantayris, the older brother, was admired for his protective spirit, steady presence, and the deep love he had for his family.

Their sudden passing has left a void that words can scarcely fill. The streets they once walked together are now lined with candles and flowers, a growing memorial where friends and family gather to remember their laughter, their strength, and their brotherly bond.

“They were always together — you’d never see one without the other,” a close friend shared. “They had big hearts and big dreams. It just doesn’t feel real that they’re gone.”

Community members across Macon have come together in prayer and remembrance, sharing stories of the brothers’ kindness and the joy they brought to others. Though their lives were cut short far too soon, their memory will live on through the countless hearts they touched.

Rest in Eternal Peace, Brandon Thomas (2004–2025) & Quantayris Townsend (1998–2025)

Brothers in life, united in eternity — their bond unbroken, their memories eternal.

May their loved ones find comfort in knowing that even in their absence, Brandon and Quantayris continue to shine through the love they gave and the lives they changed.
