The Winona community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 27-year-old Jasmine Katherine Brown, whose life ended tragically on Wednesday night, October 22, 2025, following a crash on Interstate 90 in Pleasant Valley Township.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Jasmine was traveling westbound on I-90 in a Chevy Traverse around 7:55 p.m. when her vehicle veered into the median, striking the County Road One bridge pier before rolling several times and coming to rest in the roadway. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Responding agencies included the Mower County and Olmsted County Sheriff’s Offices, Grand Meadow Fire and Rescue, and the Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service.
Loved ones say Jasmine had been struggling deeply in the days leading up to the crash. She was a devoted mother who adored her children — Isabella, Izaya, and Lilyana — and they were the light of her life. Her passing is a devastating reminder of how important it is to reach out, to check on those we love, and to remind them that help and hope are never out of reach.
Jasmine will be remembered for her warm heart, her laughter, and her unwavering love for her family. Her children will carry her memory forever, surrounded by the love and support of those who now rally around them.
As the investigation continues, the community of Winona stands united in grief and compassion — remembering Jasmine not for her final moments, but for the beautiful person and loving mother she was every day.
