In Loving Memory: Jahmeila Warren and Eric Dawson Identified in Tragic Murder-Suicide on Cincinnati’s Leeds Lane

CINCINNATI, OH — A tragic shooting in Cincinnati’s District Four community has claimed the lives of 26-year-old Jahmeila Warren and 32-year-old Eric Dawson, leaving family members and friends devastated as police continue their investigation into what appears to be a murder-suicide. The heartbreaking incident unfolded late Tuesday morning, October 28, 2025, on the 6600 block of Leeds Lane, where officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered the two individuals suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to the Cincinnati Police Department, District Four officers were dispatched around 11:50 a.m. after receiving a 911 call reporting a shooting in the area. Upon arrival, officers found Ms. Jahmeila Warren and Mr. Eric Dawson both suffering from critical gunshot injuries. Emergency personnel from the Cincinnati Fire Department immediately began life-saving efforts, but tragically, both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities have since identified Ms. Jahmeila Warren as the victim and Mr. Eric Dawson as the second decedent. Preliminary findings indicate that Mr. Dawson shot Ms. Warren before turning the gun on himself, marking another devastating instance of domestic-related violence that continues to impact communities across the nation.

The Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation, working to determine the full sequence of events and any possible motives behind the tragedy. Detectives are interviewing witnesses, reviewing evidence, and urging anyone with additional information to come forward. Anyone with details is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at (513) 352-3542.

Neighbors on Leeds Lane described the incident as shocking and deeply saddening, saying that the area is typically quiet and family-oriented. “You never expect something like this to happen so close to home,” one resident shared. “It’s heartbreaking knowing two lives were lost in such a violent way.”

Jahmeila Warren is being remembered by loved ones as a bright, loving, and ambitious young woman whose life was just beginning to blossom.
