In Loving Memory: Hart County Teen Among Three Killed in Tragic Friday Night Crash in Glasgow

A heartbreaking tragedy has left the communities of Hart, Barren, and Metcalfe counties in mourning after a fatal crash claimed the lives of three young people late Friday night in Glasgow, Kentucky.

According to an immediate press release from the Glasgow Police Department, officers responded to a devastating two-vehicle collision around 11:32 p.m. on October 17, 2025, at the intersection of Veterans Outer Loop and North Jackson Highway.

The Crash

Preliminary investigations revealed that a 2016 Nissan Altima, driven by 18-year-old Asa Howard of Edmonton, Kentucky, was traveling northbound on North Jackson Highway when it entered the intersection and collided with a 2017 Toyota Highlander driven by Timothy Houchens of Glasgow, who was traveling eastbound on Veterans Outer Loop.

The violent impact of the crash caused catastrophic damage and multiple injuries.

The Victims

Authorities confirmed that several young passengers were inside the Nissan Altima at the time of the collision.

  • 18-year-old Emily Corbin, of Hart County, was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.
  • A 14-year-old juvenile from Bowling Green was also pronounced deceased, as was a 17-year-old juvenile from Edmonton.
  • Driver Asa Howard, along with 18-year-old passenger Caden French of Glasgow, were both transported by Barren/Metcalfe EMS to TJ Samson Hospital, before being airlifted for critical injuries.
  • Another passenger, 21-year-old Jabari Sweat of Glasgow, was taken to TJ Samson Hospital for treatment and was later released.

The driver of the other vehicle, Timothy Houchens, and his passenger, Stephen Estes, were both injured and transported to TJ Samson Hospital for medical care.

The Glasgow Police Department’s Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. Officer John Dubarry is leading the investigation, assisted by the Barren/Metcalfe EMS, Glasgow/Barren County Emergency Management, Hart County EMS, Glasgow Fire Department, Barren County Sheriff’s Department, and the Kentucky State Police.

Public Information Officer Major Terry Flatt expressed condolences on behalf of the department and thanked all responding agencies for their assistance.
