The shocking discovery of the young man’s body near the 500 block of Cassady Avenue on Sunday evening has left residents shaken and searching for answers.
According to the Bexley Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area after receiving reports of an unresponsive person. Upon arrival, law enforcement and emergency medical personnel discovered the body of the young victim, who was later identified as Meechie, a recent high school graduate known for his bright smile, kindness, and infectious energy.
Authorities confirmed that the circumstances surrounding his death are being treated as a “potential homicide.” Detectives and crime scene investigators spent hours combing the area for evidence late into the night, working to piece together what led to the senseless tragedy.
