According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), the fatal crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Highway 412, when Maxwell, driving eastbound in a dump truck, failed to negotiate a curve. The heavy vehicle lost control, overturned, and came to rest across the highway.
