Edmonton Teen Toxie Moore, 17, Tragically Killed in Late-Night Crash in Glasgow, Kentucky

GLASGOW, Ky. — Heartbreak and sorrow fill the community of Edmonton, Kentucky, as family, friends, and neighbors mourn the tragic loss of 17-year-old Toxie Moore, who was killed in a devastating car crash late Friday night, October 17, 2025, in Glasgow.

According to the Glasgow Police Department, officers responded to the scene just after 11:30 p.m. following reports of a severe multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Veterans Outer Loop and North Jackson Highway. When emergency crews arrived, they were met with an overwhelming scene of destruction involving a 2016 Nissan Altima and a 2017 Toyota Highlander.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the Nissan Altima, driven by 18-year-old Asa Howard of Edmonton, was traveling northbound on North Jackson Highway when it collided with the Toyota Highlander, driven by Timothy Houchens of Glasgow, who was traveling eastbound through the intersection.

Inside the Altima were several young passengers, including Toxie Moore, who sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by Barren/Metcalfe EMS, Moore was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities confirmed that multiple other passengers were injured, some critically, and transported to TJ Samson Hospital before being airlifted to trauma centers for further treatment. The Glasgow Police Department’s Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the incident to determine contributing factors such as speed, visibility, and possible driver impairment.

The news of Toxie’s passing has shaken both the Edmonton and Glasgow communities, leaving friends, classmates, and family members in deep grief. Known for his bright personality, kind heart, and love for sports, Toxie was described by many as a young man full of life, ambition, and compassion.

“Toxie was the type of kid who made everyone feel welcome,” said one of his teachers from Metcalfe County High School. “He had a smile that could light up any room, and he was always willing to lend a hand. This is such a heartbreaking loss for all of us.”

Friends and classmates have taken to social media to share photos, memories, and messages of love for Toxie, using hashtags like #LLToxie and #FlyHighToxie to honor his memory. A candlelight vigil is being planned at Metcalfe County High School’s football field to bring the community together in remembrance of his life.

“We’ve lost someone truly special,” said a close friend. “Toxie had dreams, goals, and so much potential. He was loved by everyone who knew him, and his memory will never fade.”

As investigators continue to piece together the events that led to the crash, the community remains united in grief and prayer for all of the victims and their families.
