New York, Oswego -At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, a violent and deadly confrontation erupted at 71 W. Albany Street in the City of Oswego, leaving one man dead and two suspects now facing serious felony charges. According to the Oswego Police Department, the incident involved 41-year-old Kevin Fatcheric of Oswego, who was fatally stabbed, and two suspects identified as 24-year-old Scott Sullivan of Fulton and 44-year-old Rebecca Manchester of Oswego.
When officers arrived on scene, they were met with a grim sight — Kevin Fatcheric suffering from a stab wound to the chest. Emergency medical personnel rushed to provide life-saving aid and transported him to Upstate Hospital, but despite all efforts, Fatcheric succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Detectives immediately launched an intensive investigation, securing the scene and collecting evidence that quickly led to the arrest of Scott Sullivan and Rebecca Manchester. Police say both individuals were directly involved in the violent altercation that claimed Fatcheric’s life.
After hours of investigation and witness interviews, Sullivan and Manchester were formally charged with multiple serious crimes.
Scott Sullivan faces the following charges:
• Murder in the 2nd Degree (A-I Felony)
• Assault in the 1st Degree (B Felony)
• Two Counts of Robbery in the 1st Degree (B Felony)
Rebecca Manchester faces an even longer list of charges, including:
• Two Counts of Murder in the 2nd Degree (A-I Felony)
• Two Counts of Assault in the 1st Degree (B Felony)
• Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree (D Felony)
• Two Counts of Robbery in the 1st Degree (B Felony)
Both suspects were taken into custody, processed at the Oswego Police Department, and later arraigned in Oswego County CAP Court.
The Oswego Police Department expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts of the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, Menter Ambulance, and the Oswego Fire Department, all of whom assisted in the swift response and investigation.
The brutal killing of Kevin Fatcheric has left the Oswego community shaken, as friends, family, and neighbors grapple with the senseless loss of a life cut short by violence.
