CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — The Cape Girardeau Bollinger County Major Case Squad has identified the victim as 55 year old Dianna Dowdy of Cape Girardeau, MO.
Investigators are asking for assistance from the public in locating the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle, described as a dark blue 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe, was last seen on November 1st at approximately 1:10 A.M. traveling north on Frederick St., crossing Broadway. The vehicle has a white “First Auto Credit” sticker on the left rear hatch. Any businesses or residents in the area that have exterior cameras are encouraged to check for the victim’s vehicle.

𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞:
On November 1, 2025, at approximately 1:55 A.M. officers responded to the 600- Block of Morgan Oak Street for a report of an assault.
Officers located a female victim that had been assaulted. The victim ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
The Cape Girardeau County / Bollinger County Major Case Squad was activated.
At this time, no arrests have been made.
