It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of 20-year-old Jacob Krusen of Murrells Inlet, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle crash on Monday morning. The Horry County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Jacob succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident. His untimely death has left family, friends, and the Murrells Inlet community in deep mourning as they struggle to find comfort amid this heartbreaking loss.

The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. on Highway 17 Business at the intersection of Inlet Square Drive. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Jacob was riding his 2023 KTM motorcycle when a 2024 Ford SUV, traveling north, attempted to turn left onto Inlet Square Drive. The vehicles collided, resulting in fatal injuries to Jacob. The driver of the SUV was unharmed, but the tragedy leaves an indelible mark on everyone who knew and loved him.
