HAMILTON, Mass. — The Beverly and Hamilton communities are mourning the heartbreaking loss of 31-year-old Rico Lauranzano, who tragically passed away following a motorcycle accident on Thursday morning, October 23, 2025. The fatal crash occurred near 651 Bay Road, where emergency crews were called shortly before 8 a.m.
When first responders arrived on scene, they discovered a heavily damaged motorcycle and a helmet lying in the roadway, evidence of the severity of the impact. After searching the area, officers and rescue personnel located Lauranzano nearby. He had sustained critical, life-threatening injuries. Police and first responders immediately began life-saving measures until members of the Hamilton Fire Department and EMS arrived to take over.
Lauranzano was transported swiftly to Beverly Hospital, where, despite medical efforts, he later passed away.
The Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit is assisting Hamilton Police in determining the factors that led to the crash. Authorities are reviewing road conditions, speed, visibility, and whether any other vehicles may have been involved. At this time, the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
